The Liberty Dollar is a private voluntary barter currency that protects your purchasing power. It is not intended to be used as "Legal Tender", "Current Money" or "Coin".

While making a purchase I simply ask the cashier if they take plastic (referring to my credit card). Upon his response I follow with “Do you take silver?” and add “you know, real money!”  I then drop a silver piece into his hand.  He marvels at its weight and beauty and this often draws the attention of others waiting in line with requests to see it too.  When he gives the silver piece back I hand out my business cards and mention that silver makes great gifts.  My card lists where they can get silver and learn more.
