Sanctification by Faith

The goal of these studies is the fulfillment of Galatians 5:16

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

Sanctification is no trivial matter. We have this stern warning in Hebrews 12:14.

Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.

Yet, we are talking about sanctification by faith, not works. What does that mean? The answer is found in the New Testament. It explains all this and this is what I hope these studies will help us understand.

I’ve set these studies up in a specific order so that all may build on the foundation of Christ with the finest materials – gold, silver, and precious stones (1 Cor 3:10-13). God has gifted the Church with amazing evangelists, pastors, and teachers to help us grow into Christ likeness (Eph 4:11-16). I’ve brought them together to maximize our learning in the least amount of time. By letting the gifted speak, you won’t hear me babbling on and on only to be confused. I’ll make an introductory comment and then let them go.

I invite you to study along with me. I’ve added some study questions at the end of each lesson to help you learn and there is room for your comments as well in the comment section.

Here is a list of books in the order I think best. Each link will take you to the beginning of its study. If there is no link that means that book is not yet completed. The “#” indicates the number of days it took me to complete this book. Generally, I gave myself an hour a day to read, think, and upload each lesson. The amount of reading time is indicated at the beginning of each post (generally 15-30 minutes).

On the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wonderful works, I will meditate. Psalm 145:5
