Information Clearing House Publisher Threatened

If we are not willing to die for the truth, the truth will surely die with us. Jesus said, “unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone.” When He was captured and taken before Pilate he said, “For this purpose I was born, to bear witness to the truth…” He loved the truth more than Himself. Socrates was the same way. John, one of Jesus’ disciples, went on to write about how he was in darkness until Jesus came. He was trained by Jesus and followed in his footsteps. As a result the teachings of Jesus remain to this day. The forces of evil and its darkness did not prevail. Jesus’ strategy works. By God’s grace I hope to follow.

My friend Tom Feeley is in Big trouble. He runs the web site informationclearinghouse.info which updates “news you won’t find in the corporate media” every day. The site is strongly anti-war.

Tom has gotten his share of death threats over the years, but what happened this week is a lot more serious.
Two days ago, Tom’s wife found three well dressed men in their kitchen. The man who did all the talking, told Tom’s wife (I won’t give her name) that Tom must “Stop what he is doing on the Internet, NOW!” As crazy as it sounds, he pulled back his lapel and showed her a gun of some kind which she could not identify.
Tom’s wife is hysterical and has not returned to the house since the incident. She contacted the FBI but the FBI said their was nothing they could do. Tom and his wife separated recently after a 30 year marraige, so he is publishing from a different location.
The well-dressed man told Tom’s wife that he knew where her son lived, what line of

Conservatives Grow Wary of Mixing Church, Politics

A word to conservatives – you do not have to bring religion (that which you claim is built on divine revelation) into politics. The reason – American government is founded on “self-evident” truths. Read the Declaration of Independence. If you make it more complicated than that and you get what we got. Take time to read Frederic Bastiat’s The Law for a more detailed explanation of this position. To drag churches into politics is to corrupt both institutions.

Conservatives Grow Wary of Mixing Church, Politics

August 22, 2008
Fifty percent of conservatives think churches and other places of worship should stay out of social and political matters, up from 30 percent four years ago, according to a survey released Thursday by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life and the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press.
That’s an eight percentage point increase over 2004 and the first time a majority of Americans has held that opinion since Pew officials started asking the question 12 years ago.
On this question, the gap between conservatives and liberals is narrowing: just four years ago, liberals were twice as likely as conservatives to say churches should stay out of politics. Now, 50 percent of conservatives and 57 percent of liberals think that. Four years ago, 62 percent of liberals opposed church involvement in politics. Democrats and Republicans are about even on the question, as well.

Robin Long, Faces Expedited Court Martial Tomorrow

I wish I could go to Colorado Springs to provide moral support. I guess I should write him a letter. Our occupation in Iraq is morally wrong. If this is how you are to fight terrorism, then why hasn’t Israel every used Occupation as a means of fighting terrorism? I know this is not about fighting terrorism, but for those that think it is, think about that. Turn off the TV and the radio and start searching for truth.

Add-On Needed for Every Cell Phone

clipped from www.thinkgeek.com

Yeah, we know all about bluetooth headsets for cell phones, but forget that stuff! We have here the latest
development in cell phone technology and it’s a big hunk of beautiful plastic. An accessory for
your phone that you can really grab onto. Something with heft and that good-old-American solid
construction feel – like a 1972 Cadillac.
The Retro Phone Handset is a new production replica of the Western Electric 500-series model,
which was the classic phone handset for several decades. It’s been slightly modified to work with
the headset jack of most cell phones (or via a “hands free” adapter kit, sold elsewhere). Just plug-in
and dial – or for added effect, put your cell phone in your pant’s pocket – then it looks like you’re
talking on a phone connected to… well, who knows?

Customer Action Shot!

At the bar? No boss, I'm just at the copier.

Also has these great features.

  • 2.5mm jack will work with most phones (Motorola, LG, Samsung)
  • Includes: handset and classic curly phone cord with connector

South Ossetia: The War We Don’t Know

    the background
    clipped from exiledonline.com

Five days after Georgia invaded and seized the breakaway separatist region of South Ossetia, sparking a larger-scale Russian invasion to drive Georgian forces back and punish their leaders, Russia surprised its Western detractors by calling a halt to the country’s offensive. After all, the mainstream media, egged on by hawkish neocon pundits and their candidate John McCain, had everyone believing that Russia was hellbent on the full-scale annihilation and annexation of democratic Georgia.
But then came Tuesday’s cease-fire announcement–and we’re now forced to ask ourselves serious questions about the recent conflict: what really started it, how dangerous was it and what, with serious careful consideration, could be done to prevent it from turning into a worst-case scenario?
simple tale of Good Helpless Democratic Guy Georgia versus Bad Savage Fascist Guy Russia. In fact, it is far more complex than this, morally and historically.
