In light of the mass shootings
In light of the fractured and crumbling political systems in America
In light of the flood of evil pouring down our streets
It is good to remember
that when similar conditions were about to extinguish the life of Christ in His day
He taught this one last lesson to the few that stayed with Him
Jesus gave His disciples a new mandate, something NEW – love one another.
He believed love (not a feeling) would hold them together.
The precedent that He set in that day and age when love was so infantile if even present
What a Leader of leaders, what a King of kings, what a Lord of lords.
No wonder He has so many followers and servants 2000+ years later.
